Backstory:
A very close friend of mine (who supplies all the movies I
sell, direct from Japan & Asia) has been in the adult film industry for
more than 20 years. The stories he has are nothing short of
incredible…Completely mind-blowing at times, especially the stories from his
trips to Japan. He goes to Japan and Asia about every month or two to secure
our contracts with the studios and our manufacturers. I’ve been with him on few
trips in the past, but I settled down years ago trying to start a family after
a nasty divorce so that crazy life-style is far behind me. Anyway, Let’s Get To
It Then!
Hitomi Tanaka
Interview:
So my buddy (mentioned above) was back here in the US for
the holidays and we got together and had a few beers (ok, it was more than a
few…also, some Sake, Vodka, Tequila, Rum…and then I blacked out). Long-story-short,
we were talking about the currently most popular Japanese idols (ie adult film
stars) and he mentioned Hitomi Tanaka...Good thing I have a great memory (at
least that part of me still works right..joke)…Recording the conversation
helped too =)
Below is a transcript
of our conversation:
Part 1 of ?
Me: ok wait, so you actually met and went out
with Hitomi Tanaka?
Friend: For sure…it’s typical for the studios to
invite us to shootings, especially when large contracts are involved. Afterwards,
we’ll head out to dinner, KTV (karaoke), drinking, then…well you get the
picture…*cheeky grin *wink
Me: …but how can they do that after shooting, especially if
there’s a shoot the next day?
Friend: Oh no, NO, NEVER
during production days…The crew, director, talent, etc get up early (about 5am
typically) to get set up and film until the evening. They’re like machines…Kind
of ironic really…
Me: How so?
Friend: …Well you’re
people trying sell sex…Exact opposite of machines…Trying to be as sexual, as
human as ever….You know??
Me: hmmm, yeah I get it. Anyway, before we start getting too
deep and quoting Shakespeare and Aristotle let’s move on to Hitomi…
Friend: Hahahaha…Agreed…
Me: …so you were saying…
Friend: Right, like I was
saying before…They (the studio) will usually invite us to the set on the last
day of shooting. It’s a huge celebration so we all got out and party, sometimes
non-stop the entire weekend…Then back to work…Lather, rinse, repeat…Get it??
Me: Damn, no wonder most don’t last long in the adult industry…
Friend: Exactly!
Me:…so that day with Hitomi Tanaka….
Friend: …yeah, so I
got to the set in the afternoon. They were re-shooting some parts of some
scenes the director wanted to touch-up…close-ups, money-shots, and photos…Last
day is usually the busiest so I try to stay out of the way as much as possible.
Me: So what’s the point of inviting you? I mean, why not
just meet up with them afterwards?
Friend: For PR mostly…Also,
to show us and the producers (who are usually present as well) their
professionalism and, basically, all the money we invested was put to good use.
Me: …Makes total sense…Was this the first time you met
with Hitomi?
Friend: No, I met her
a few times before…the first, I think, was at the 2012 Adult Products
conference in Shanghai.
Me: Yeah I totally remember…You got me those DVD’s and
BluRays signed by Hitomi…Freakin’ amazing… =)
Friend: Yup, you still
have them…??
Me: …tucked away somewhere safe…Also, away from the wife’s
eyes…don’t want to end up on the couch for a week again… back’s not as strong
as it used to be…might be difficult to explain how I got them...
Friend: I’ll drink to
that…Nostrovia…
Me: Nostrovia….
Me: So what’s she like?
Friend: Hitomi’s a
really nice girl…Baby face, girl next door (in Japan anyway). Doesn’t really
like to go out and party. She’s had her party phase, but most of it was when
she was younger and first starting out…It’s the same with almost all the girls
in the industry…She works really damn hard and takes direction really well.
Everyone loves working with her…Sometimes she’ll even bring tea or coffee for those
on the set…
Me: Wow…so a girl you can take home and meet your
mother??...
Friend: Not mine, she planned my last bachelor party and knows who I “work” with…
Me: Hahahahaha, that’s right!! I’ll never forget that weekend!!!...
Friend: …hahaha…Amen to that brother!!...
…anyway, Hitomi’s had
lot’s of offers…
Me: …offers??
Friend: yeah, offers…to get married…endless fans…flowers…jewelry…lot’s of stalkers…security is pretty tight on set..
Me:….WTF???...
Friend: …yeah, you’ll
see it all in this business…I guarantee that…!!
Me: ….GTFO…so like who would propose to her??
Friend: LOT’s of guys…Lot’s
of rich guys…Some even in the government.
Me: …Oh come on…government??...
Friend: …dude, politicians
are the worse whores on the planet...at least people in the adult industry get
paid to *uck you and are open about it…on camera…you know?
Me: …ok, can’t argue with that…
Friend: Most people in
the adult industry won’t date anyone in government…We’ve got morals…*wink
Me: hahahaha!!!!
